Scott Carpenter Park
Location: Arapahoe and 30th Map
Scott Carpenter Park was named after a Boulder astronaut Scott Carpenter. This park has a large grass field kids playground skate park and swimming pool. On the south side of the park the Boulder Creek path run through along with boulder Creek. On the north side of the park just on the other side of Arapahoe street is the 29th street mall.
Scott Carpenter park has a lot to offer all around it, it is close to tons of shopping, right off of the Boulder Creek path and it has swimming in the summer and sledding in the winter. There is a parking lot on both the southeast and the southwest side of the park and parking is usually good. There is also a few different bus lines that run close to the park, and it is right off of the Boulder creek path.

Scott Carpenter is a good day
Scott Carpenter is a good day trip the kids can play and then we can walk over to a few different restaurants at 29th street. It is nice that it has stuff (food, and stores) close by. Most of the other parks we have to get in the car and drive if we want anything.

In the summer we take the kids to the pool and eat lunch at the park. It is one of the few outdoor pools around that has a decent park next to it.
