Buses to Flatiron Crossing

The only major bus company that services the Flatiron Crossing area is RTD, which offers a couple of different bus routes to and from the Flatiron Crossing Mall area.

The B regional bus route runs up and down Hwy 36 from Boulder to Denver about every 30 min on the week days and stops on the side of 36 close to Flatiron Crossing Mall. The stop is about a half mile to a mile from the actual mall.

There is also a bus route called the 228 that goes from the Broomfield Park and Ride and stops at the Flatiron Crossing Mall. The 228 runs about every half hour during the weekdays and the Broomfield Park and Ride is a connection point to a variety of other bus routes.

Some of the distances from the Mall to the outlying stores can be far to walk on foot. There are many nice, wide sidewalks to walk on and it can be nice area to walk in, especially in good weather, but some of the distances could be far for small kids and elderly people.

When the mall opened and for several years afterward, the Zip Shuttle had a route around the mall, all outlying shopping areas, and the Hwy 36 bus stop. Unfortunately, the Zip Shuttle was discontinued in early 2009 due to lack of consistent use.
